Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,
Recently, some inappropriate text and links have appeared in Google search results for certain school websites. This is a reminder and announcement to all faculty, staff, and students: if you notice abnormal pages resulting from a Google search for keywords related to school department websites, please avoid clicking on such pages.
If you discover any abnormal pages in Google search results, you may contact your department's website administrator to request the removal of the URLs or notify the Office of Library and Information Services (OLIS) for assistance and further action.
For departments without access to the Google Console Search interface, website administrators may refer to the attached document for instructions on applying. The OLIS has proactively inspected 67 departmental websites within the university, and no irregularities have been found in the current Google search results. However, please note that issues with abnormal keyword-related Google search result pages may occur randomly or irregularly.
We recommend that all departmental website administrators perform regular checks to ensure there are no abnormalities in search results for their websites. Please refer to the instructions below and the attached file for further details. Thank you for your cooperation!
