2024/12/10 – Educational Training on Basic AI Creation for Short Mobile Videos
We were honored to invite 漂漂老師蔡雅琦, Director of Visual Design at Fanying Media, to deliver the course. She provided a detailed introduction to the Basic AI Creation for Short Mobile Videos course. The training covered an overview of short video trends, introductions to major video platforms, mobile filming techniques, and AI-assisted scriptwriting and storyboarding. The program aimed to comprehensively enhance skills in managing campus social media, producing, and editing short mobile videos, giving faculty, staff, and students a deeper understanding of AI-driven short video creation.
The participants included social media administrators from various units, as well as all faculty, staff, and students of the university. At the beginning of the course, Teacher Piao-Piao emphasized how personal video production can be extended to social sharing, highlighting the concept of “spreading truth, goodness, and beauty around us, while transforming and amplifying professional expertise.”
She then introduced the major short video platforms, including TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LINE VOOM, and Instagram Reels. She explained their common features, such as:
Mobile-first viewing and production orientation
Built-in creative tools
Music library integration
No direct revenue from views
She also elaborated on their differences, including:
Distinct audiences and viewing habits
Varying availability of creative tools
Different levels of copyright awareness
Platform-specific content recommendation mechanisms
YouTube Shorts offering ad revenue opportunities
Under her guidance, participants gained a deeper understanding of how to select the right platform specifications for filming and production.
