Important Reminders

1. Thesis Submission and Graduation Clearance

Students graduating in Semester 114-2 may now begin submitting their theses and completing graduation clearance procedures.

2. Important Deadlines

  • Thesis Oral Defense Deadline

    • Deadline for thesis oral defenses for Semester 114-2 graduates: July 31, 2026
    • Students are strongly advised not to schedule their defense at the last minute to avoid unexpected disruptions (such as typhoons).
    • Students who are unable to graduate in Semester 114-2 will graduate in Semester 115-1 and are expected to receive their diploma in early March 2027.
  • Students Who Have Not Yet Applied for Their Defense

    • Please contact your department office as soon as possible to confirm the defense application deadline and required documents.
  • Turnitin Account

    • If you need to apply for or update a Turnitin account, please contact the Library.
  • Thesis Format Review Deadline

    • Deadline: August 11, 2026 (Tuesday)
    • Please note that the deadline is not at the end of August.
    • If your oral defense is scheduled near the end of July, please ensure that you have sufficient time to revise your thesis before submission.

New Regulations for Print Thesis Embargo

Applicable to students whose oral defense takes place on or after August 1, 2025.

Students who wish to request delayed public access to their printed thesis must use the new Print Thesis Embargo Application Form.

Application Procedure

  • The application must be submitted before the thesis oral defense.
  • During the oral defense, the examination committee will review whether the thesis contains confidential information, patent-related content, or other materials that cannot be disclosed according to law.

Important Notes

  • These regulations apply only to requests for delayed public access to printed theses.
  • They do not affect electronic thesis authorization settings.

Electronic Full-Text Authorization (PDF)

If the electronic full text of the thesis will be made publicly available within five years (including immediate release), students only need to select the publication date when uploading the thesis to the National Central Library system and submit the authorization form signed by both the student and the advisor. No additional application or review is required.
