 Rules and Regulations

Foods and beverages are not allowed in the library. When you enter the library building, you can either have your bags with you or deposit them in the lockers. However, if you place your bags in the lockers, you are still suggested to keep the valuables with you at all time. For electronic devices, please turn off your cell phone or beeper ringer and mute your laptop's speaker volume. If you need to make a phone call, please walk outside the building.

Notes.

1.The loan period and number of renewal for circulation materials include CD-ROMs or tapes attached to books or magazines are equal to those for the printed copies.

2.Both undergraduate and postgraduate students can borrow up to four multimedia CD-ROMs and DVDs but cannot renew the loan periods.

  The Study Room

1.The Study Rooms are located on the 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th floor of the Main Library and divided to two areas, which are Area A and Area B.

Service Counter booking is needed. A valid Library  card  is required to enter the study room.

3.You can make one booking at a time for a maximum of 4 hours. Extended use of another 4 hours is allowed only when the space is available and not booked by other users at the time.

4.Your booking will be automatically cancelled if you do not enter the Study Room you have booked within 30 minutes of the booking start time.

5.Please place the ID card under the scanner to enter the Study Room.

6.Foods and drinks are not allowed in the Study Room.

  Discussion rooms

1.Two types of Discussion Rooms are provided in the Library. Small Discussion Rooms (capacity for 3 to 6 people) and large Discussion Room (capacity for 6 to 12 people).
