External Network (WAN)

Our school's external network is divided into three parts.

一、Academic Network:

Our school is connected to the Taipei Regional Network Center, with a total bandwidth of up to 1Gbps.

  1. The Taiwan Academic Network (TANet) is a nationwide computer network jointly established by major national universities and the Ministry of Education since July 1990. Its main purpose is to support teaching and research activities among schools and research institutions nationwide, facilitating resource sharing and collaboration opportunities.
  2. The Taiwan Advanced Research and Education Network (TWAREN) is a dedicated network for academic research. It facilitates international research collaboration by connecting our country's academic and research communities internationally.

二、Formosa Plastics Group Dedicated Line:

Providing official data transmission between our school and Formosa Plastics Group.

三、Enterprise Fiber Network:

Leased from New Century InfoComm Tech Co., Ltd. (Far EasTone Telecommunications), with a total bandwidth of 4Gbps, used for proxy server services.

Internal Network (LAN)

Our school's internal network is divided into three parts.

一、Academic and Administrative Area Network:

The administrative unit network is managed by the Computer Center, including IP allocation and network equipment. The network of departments and research centers is responsible for IP allocation by each department, with network equipment managed by the Computer Center. Each department building is connected to the Computer Center via GigaEthernet.

二、Student Dormitory Area Network:

Managed by the Computer Center, each bed is provided with a 1Gbps Ethernet connection and assigned one fixed virtual IP for connection services. The dormitory area is connected to the Computer Center via GigaEthernet.

三、Faculty and Staff Dormitory Area Network:

Managed by the Computer Center, each household is provided with a 100Mbps Ethernet connection and assigned 1-2 fixed virtual IPs for connection services. The dormitory area is connected to the Computer Center via GigaEthernet.
