Dear students, teachers, and colleagues,
Turnitin is currently one of the world's most widely used plagiarism detection systems. Turnitin Originality Reports display the similarity between submitted papers and reference materials, assisting researchers in enhancing the originality of their writing while ensuring the accuracy and relevance of document citations.
This event will provide guidance on student accounts and Instructor accounts.
- Date: 9/27 (Wednesday) 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
- Location: Computer Classroom, 1st Floor, Library and Information Building
- Instructor: iGroup Taiwan - Ms. Jenny Cheng
- Target Audience: All students, faculty, and staff (with presentations conducted in English). We strongly recommend graduate students currently working on their thesis, as well as faculty members supervising graduate students, to participate in this workshop.
- Registration Link: Please click here (requires campus portal account credentials).
- Application for Turnitin account is needed: MCUT Turnitin Account Application Form
Additional Information:
- According to our university's "Implementation Regulations for Master's and Doctoral Degree Examinations," the originality of the thesis should be checked using the "Thesis Originality Comparison System" before submitting the thesis examination application, along with the checking results.
- We recommend filling out the "MCUT Turnitin Account Application Form" to apply for a student account in advance for classroom use.
- This event is included in the "University-Wide Teaching Enhancement Activities" for teachers.
- Students can apply for Turnitin student accounts, and faculty and staff can apply for Turnitin instructor accounts or student accounts. Student accounts provide only the matching function, while instructor accounts offer matching functionality and the ability to create courses for students to match their papers. Instructor accounts also allow for customized filtering and exclusion. Additionally, the user interface for instructor and student accounts is completely different.
