publish date : 2023-11-06 update date : 2023-11-06

Dear Faculty and Students,

The library is planning to conduct the 2025 Database Subscription Survey in early next year. If there is a need for new database subscriptions among the faculty and students of our school, we welcome your recommendations starting from today until November 30th (Thursday) to be included in the survey list. The list of databases ordered in 2024 is attached for reference.

1.         Recommendation Instructions:

  1. Please send your recommendations before November 30th (Thursday), and be sure to include your student/faculty ID, the name and URL of the recommended database, and a detailed recommendation explanation.
  2. The "recommendation explanation" will serve as the basis for the subscription survey, so please provide as much detail as possible.

2.         About the Subscription Survey:

  1. The library compiles a list of databases annually, including databases that have been ordered and those on trial, as well as those recommended by the faculty and students.
  2. In January 2024, the library will create the "2025 Electronic Database Subscription Opinion Survey Form" and distribute it to the library and various academic units. Unit heads are requested to fill out the preferred order priority for database subscriptions in 2025 based on the teaching and research needs and the historical usage of their respective departments. If there are recommendations with a significant impact on the overall development of the school, please submit explanations by December of this year. Requests from units are encouraged. The library will compile and submit them for review by the Administrative Meeting. Those approved will be included in the highest priority order.
  3. The library will assess the database priorities and budget allocation to compile the 2025 Database Subscription List (subscription period from January 2025 to December 2025).
