Proxy Server

MCUT provided the proxy server, and it support Web and FTP services. Proxy server is effectively to save network bandwidth by the cache function. We recommend that student dormitory set to Proxy1, teaching and administrative region and staff dormitory set to Proxy2.

 How to set proxy server?

Step 1. Click Start, and then select the Control Panel.

Step 2. Activate the Network and Internet.

Step 3. Activate the Network and Sharing Center.

Step 4. Select "Internet Options".

Step 5.Select "Connections".

Step 6. Click "LAN settings".

Step 7. Select "Use a proxy server for your LAN (These settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections)", enter the Address and Port, and then click OK.

*Dormitory area:Please enter the Address "proxy.mcut.edu.tw" and enter the Port "3128".
*Other regions:Please enter the Address "proxy2.mcut.edu.tw" and enter the Port "3128".

Step 8. Click OK.
