Origin
Ming Chi University of Technology is a member of the Taiwan Green University Alliance and continuously conducts workshops on environmental issues to cultivate environmental awareness among teachers and students. The university promotes a campus ecosystem aligned with low-carbon concepts, enhances environmental awareness through life education, and contributes to sustainable social responsibility through practical actions.

The library aims to achieve the goal of integrating deeply with the campus and society through cross-university cooperative exhibitions and local connections. Since 2017, it has continuously held geological education promotion activities, hoping to contribute to sustainable social responsibility through practical actions.

Milestones
2017: On Earth Day and during the Ming Chi University Sports Day, guided by the Central Geological Survey of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and in collaboration with National Ilan University, the "2017 Earth Day and Ming Chi University Sports Day Special Exhibition - Geological Exploration: Creative New Tourism" was held to rally together for environmental protection.

2018: With the theme "Creative Geological Tourism - Charm of Hengchun, Passion of Kenting," the Ming Chi Geological Knowledge Learning Station was established. A strategic alliance among Chang Gung University, Chang Gung University of Science and Technology, and Ming Chi University of Technology was formed, in collaboration with the Central Geological Survey of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, to facilitate cooperation exchanges, reading promotion, geological knowledge dissemination, and a series of activities including geological lectures and local agricultural specialty feasts.
