VPN (Virtual Private Network) Service

Description

The VPN connection service allows the faculty, staff, and students of the university to connect to the campus network from non-Ming Chi environments (such as home, business trips, or abroad), obtaining the university's campus network IP. This connection allows users to access the network as if they were on campus, safely and conveniently using various digital resources and services provided by the university.

With the VPN connection service, faculty, staff, and students of the university can access internal campus web applications (e.g., library databases, e-journals, e-books, licensed software, etc.) and network services (e.g., Notes, ERP, SSH, FTP, remote desktop, etc.) through personal computers or mobile devices, anytime and anywhere.

How to Use

  1. Please first install the VPN software "AnyConnect" from Cisco:
    1. Windows: Click Click me
    2. Android: Search for Cisco AnyConnect in Google Play to download the app, link Click me
    3. iOS: Search for Cisco AnyConnect in the App Store to download the app, link Click me
  2. Set up the Connection / VPN Connection, and fill in the URL: vpn.mcut.edu.tw
  3. Login with your account and password
    • Identity: Faculty and staff select "staff", students select "student"
    • Login Account: Same as the campus portal
    • Login Password: Same as the campus portal
